Even when I was very young, people came to me when they needed to talk through something and gain insight into a situation or relationship, and I always felt drawn to people who were struggling.  As I grew older, I recognized that this was a gift that should be nurtured through training and education and earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Baylor University in 1991.  I completed an internship at the University of Rochester  School of Medicine and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Dallas Child Guidance Center.  During my professional career, I have provided psychological evaluations and treatment in schools, in a variety of community agencies, and in private practice.  As an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University, I have been challenged to keep up with new research in developmental and general psychology.  I also receive some of my best “continuing education” in relationships and human nature from my husband of 23 years and four children.  We have lived in Coppell for 10 years and have been active in our schools and church.

I know that it is difficult to seek professional help for yourself or your child for an emotional, behavioral or relationship difficulty.  It takes courage to tackle the issues and to share them with another person.  I will honor that courage and do everything I can to make the process comfortable and productive for you.
