I am a licensed psychologist with over 24 years experience in the mental health field. I provided services to children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults. I specialize in treating children and adolescents for school-related issues including school phobia, anxiety, ADHD, behavior problems, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and learning issues. I provided ADHD assessments and other psychological testing for children and adolescents.  Many of my child and adolescent clients are referred for behavioral issues as well. She works with a wide variety of issues, including stress, depression, adjustment issues to moves and divorces, grief related issues, and substance abuse.  I have specialized training in working with families as well. As the past administrator of an adoption agency, I have specialized knowledge of the issues related to adopting children.

My work with adults includes couples work (premarital, marital. and divorce issues). I also help adults individually who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, financial stress, job-related issues, substance abuse, relationship problems, and many other issues. I recently began working with military families who are adjusting to pre-and post-deployment changes in their families. About half of my practice is geared towards counseling adults.

I have worked in many community agencies. My work with these agencies involved working with children in the area of school psychology, sexual and physical abuse, forensic issues, juvenile delinquency, and family problems. I was the administrator of a local nonprofit agency where I ran an adoption program, counseling agency, and substance abuse program for adolescents. When working with children and adolescents, family involvement is crucial. I try to work very closely with the parents of these children as well.

In 1999, I was elected President of the Dallas Psychological Association. I have two offices, located in Coppell and Irving. My office manager, Catherine, will return your call to set up an appointment and send you the paperwork for the first session. I work interactively with my clients to provide the best professional service including establishing timely treatment goals. I work especially diligently at making children and adolescents feel comfortable seeking help for their problems. I am committed to providing my clients the best possible service in a timely and professional manner.

On a personal note, I am married and have three children ages 22, 20, and 18.
